Elizabeth Porcel has been building a female bestiary since 2017. Inspired by equal parts, narratives found in medieval bestiaries, biology, and her personal experiences she depicts the animals often in the throws of motherhood. Mothyr, is a response to the martyr complex of motherhood. We give so much for our children to flourish.
