"Wait, what was I?" is something I hear daily when talking with moms. Brains that used to work at top speed are foggy, tired. Projects that would be easy, are left by the wayside. We are people interrupted. I chose newspaper print fabric as the background for this piece since news of the pandemic and the turbulent political landscape has been our background; it feeds our exhaustion and anxiety. I used raw edge applique to reflect how we are all raw and on edge, waiting for what is to come.
