This image is derived from a year-long project where I collect and record the experience of my first year of motherhood during a global pandemic through poems, drawings, poetry comics, and journal entries. I will stop collecting work when my daughter turns one and revise what I have completed in to a book-length manuscript. I know I am exhausted, but I don't know how else this is supposed to be. I have only ever mothered in crisis.
