Installation, Carrying that weight

stones, natural wool, vintage fabrics dyed with avocado and curcuma, wire and piano wire

The mental weight that mothers has and sustain. The feeling of carrying the whole world when mothering. And the loneliness of mothering without your own mother.

Softness, weightless at first sight, but pieces has movement because they carry a stone inside. Maybe you can’t see them but they are there giving the weight.

Those pieces are made with stones that my children gather for me, from school, our nature walks ...I felt them with natural wool or I sew them with vintage fabrics. Then all together are placed in a thin wire to give them that needed movement to let the weight fly away.
